These unusual paper "ribbons" are ideal for collage & mixed media artwork. 

Working with a selection of both handmade and/or recycled papers, our "HANDPRINTS SAFARI" PAPER RIBBONS are individually either painted, printed or block stamped by hand, with a variety of different patterns & images featuring animals & designs with a "wild", "animal" and/or "primitive" motif.  some have gold accenting, others have "patches" or   other additions.

Because this collection includes such a variety of paper types, each pattern is described below, & also when you click on any individual style above.

 50112 "Elephant News" 5-14" wide - Printed Newspaper -    Irregular block printing of an elephant marches down this paper ribbon make of actual printed newspapers! Stained a rust/cider/ginger color which also bleeds through in varying degrees to the backside. Each piece is different since this is actual newspapers.

50101 "Gilded Frog News" 5-1/4" wide - Printed Newspaper -    Newspaper, stained a rust/cider/ginger color is the base for this paper 'ribbon' A frog shape is stamped, outlined in gold, then accented with a small piece of torn handmade paper. The parade of frogs meander from side to side down the 'ribbon. Some color also "bleeds" through to the backside of the newsprint. Each piece is different since this is actual newspapers.

50911 "Mystic Elephant"   4-1/4" wide - Handmade Paper -    A thick, fibrous handmade paper is the base for hand stamped, rust/brown elephant images.    Every 7" a  3/4" piece of a dark taupe, hand torn,  handmade paper divides the elephant parade.  "Mystic Elephant" also has two 3/4" "side borders" of the same handmade paper on the backside of the 'ribbon'.

50910 "Gilded Jungle"  4" wide - Handmade Paper -    A fibrous, rather stiff handmade paper is entirely handpainted in earthy tones of amber, russet & black with highlights of gold in patterns suggestive of animal prints & pelts.

50112 "Golden Elephant"  4-1/2" wide - Handmade Paper/Textured -   White, textured handmade paper with gold borders has hand stamped, cholate brown elephants separated by gold accented "patches" of hand torn, handmade paper.

50202 "Gecko"  4" wide - Handmade Paper -    Hand stamped geckos & hand torn pieces of brown handmade paper "patches" run up alternating sides of this warm vanilla colored handmade paper 'ribbon'.   Geckos are rust and/or brown.  Handmade paper is fairly smooth.

50201 "Frog" 4" wide  - Handmade Paper -   A primitive "frog" is hand stamped down the middle of an ivory color handmade paper, alternating with hand torn stirps of brown handmade paper & paint spot.  Handmade paper is fairly smooth.

50212 "Elephant Walk" (brown)  4" wide - Handmade Paper -    Hand stamped, brown elephants on a pale fawn shade of handmade paper.  Horizontal strips of mocha colored, hand torn, handmade paper separate the elephant parade.  The pattern is similar to the wider "Mystic Elephant", but this handmade paper is fairly smooth in contrast to the thicker, fibrous "Mystic Elephant" & there are no "side borders"

50213 "Elephant Walk" (red)   4" wide - Handmade Paper-     Russet colored, hand stamped elephants on a cafe- au-lait shade of handmade paper.  Horizontal strips of mocha colored, hand torn, handmade paper separate the elephant parade.  The pattern is similar to the wider "Mystic Elephant", but this handmade paper is fairly smooth in contrast to the thicker, fibrous "Mystic Elephant" & there are no "side borders".

51208 "Fish"  4-3/4"  - Recycled Kraft/Textured -    A blue/grey "watery" stain runs down the middle of this textured recycled kraft paper 'ribbon'.  Schools of small seaweed green little fish swim randomly down the "stream".

51234 "Tortoise Shell"  4-3/4" wide  - Recycled Kraft/"Crimped Texture -     A heavy "crimped" texture on recycled kraft paper is the base for this hand painted tortoise shell pattern is shades of charcoal, mocha, peach & coral with occasional brushes of gold gild. 

50115 "Primitive"  4-3/4" wide  - Recycled Kraft/Beater Dyed -    Ocher "beater-dyed" (color in the pulp, not on surface) recycled kraft paper is textured, with a geometric stenciled design in glossy black.   

Hand stamped images can & will vary in intensity, etc.
