Loose Ends Studio Project
Water & Sun Dyed Muslin Artist Backpack
Stained with WOODSTOCK HANDMADE PAPERS
This is such a FUN project - but it's best done in HOT weather!
You start with your favorite(s) Woodstock Handmade "Bleeding" Papers & the Muslin Artist Backpacks.
3 Easy Steps - - -
Lay 2 pieces of Woodstock Handmade Paper on either the lawn, or a plastic covered table. Wet with a gentle spray from the garden hose, or spritz very well with a spray bottle (you want the paper quite wet). You can use just one piece of paper, but the color will not be as intense.
3 Easy Steps - - -
Step # 1 - Fold the wet paper under & around the Backpack
The Woodstock paper begins to "bleed" into the Backpack almost immediately
Step #2 - Roll the wet/folded paper/Backpack "sandwich" into a long roll
You will have a nice tight & fat roll
Step # 3 - You can also take the long roll & coil it up like you were making cinnamon rolls
(I've never made those, but have heard the rumors)
Now you is the hard part - just be patient & let the Woodstock Paper do its thing. (there's cool stuff to do with those wet roll while they're drying, but that will have to be another "Loose Ends studio project".
But sometimes you just have to slightly unroll & take a peek!
(notice how the colors of the Woodstock Papers are "bleeding" into each other)
Now there's not much else to do by wait the 1-3 days (depending on weather) for your new one-of-a-kind Muslin Artist Backpacks to be "cooked"!
Like watching paint dry
And then in a couple of days - - -
just unroll & ENJOY!
And here are your Water & Sun Dyed Muslin Artist Backpacks
Ready to ROCK & ROLL!
