A traditional European market bag, used for years in Italy & France as the original "recycled" shopping bags.  These were designed to carry groceries & other heavy items, so they had to be strong & tough, as well as good looking.  Our is made of natural abaca (banana) fiber, and it IS both handsome & strong!  

I find them great for everything from yarns to my favorite use - a bag of "faux food"  (including a Fake Fish or two) to hang in my kitchen, bringing that Italian country kitchen ambiance to my corner of Oregon.  

And, of course I keep my personal stash of Pulp Netting in one, so that it is visually accessible and inspiring!
