Chopped bits of real Raffia Grass is accented with long, slender fern fronds 

 Raffia Grass is harvested, then dried & chopped into small bits & pieces.  Then they are adhered to a 3" wide woven natural abaca/banana fiber base for a very strong & flexible 'ribbon'.  Small, young fern fronds are dried & zigzag down the bed of raffia, providing an attractive accent in natural neutral colors.  Excellent for adding to all types of art or craft work, especially collage & mixed media.  It also makes an interesting "band" or trim.
