 An unusual paper that we first discovered in a "Papeterie" (fancy papers & stationary shop) while in France for a trade show.

"Papiers Wrinkle Wrap" is "beater dyed", meaning the pigment is mixed into the pulp before it becomes paper., providing for deeper, richer colors.   The finished paper has been "accordian" folded from 21" wide down to 4", creating a uniquely textured surface.

"Papiers. Wrinkle Wrap" offers some unusual & uncommon creative possibilities, from a unique background or art surface to an interesting textural element in collage or mixed media, from innovative gift wrapping to unique wallpaper & wall treatments. 

And one of MY favorite ways to use it is to turn a "sow's ear into a silk purse"

This was REALLY beat-up old urn that we had around for years.  I covered it with the "Cocoa" (#31688) Wrinkle Wrap, then used a variety of acrylic paints, both solid & metallic colors to create this effect.  The "Papiers Wrinkle Wrap" provided a heavy yet malleable paper that added it's own textural interest to the finished item.
