Thought it was about time to put up a new update on what’s going on here at loose ends. As any of you know who frequent this site, Art and I really planned on closing the company down and moving on to some other adventures. Well, as is so often the case, plans change.

We are still moving on to other adventures, but it seems that some of those adventures are coming to us, so at this point, we are somewhat re-vamping the plan.

We are still honing down our inventory DRAMATICALLY, and do not plan to carry 90% of what we have in the past. As the company moves into its new phase, we are anticipating continuing on with our handmade papers, other exclusive and unique papers, and, of course, the organic fibers/textiles that the company is known for.

With that in mind, we are continuing to offer our 40% OFF on any and all existing inventory (with exception noted below) that is on our website. And, of course, there are other items that have even larger discounts (these are always featured in our emails to you. You can register for our e-mail newsletter below)

Since the plan is to continue with the handmade and specialty papers we are known for, these will not have the discount. However, we have not raised prices on these for almost 5 years and so they reflect not only earlier costs, but also a much stronger buying dollar against the foreign currencies of the countries that we work with. At the present time, we are NOT purchasing new inventory in the handmade papers, so please, if you are a paper person, look at the collections and order quickly, as everyday we are running out of a number of styles.

After the first of the year, if we do continue the business, we will, of course, be working with our papermakers and be designing and purchasing new stock, but that possibility is still “in the works”.

So, that’s where we are at the moment, and these are the tentative plans. Of course, things can always change – we are, you know, loose ends!
